Já Fui Bag

Já Fui Bag is a reverse logistics initiative I developed alongside iFood’s sustainability team, giving a second life to delivery riders’ thermal backpacks that would otherwise end up in landfills. The worn-out bags were collected, sorted, and transformed—part of them upcycled into new eco-bags and pouches, while another portion was directed toward industrial energy generation.

In partnership with the startups GreenPlat and Plataforma Verde, the initiative was implemented nationwide, reaching a Zero Landfill milestone: in practice, 100% of the bags replaced across the country were recovered and kept within the circular economy. This ensured the proper destination of over 130 tons of material and generated income for sewing cooperatives and waste management workers throughout Brazil.

Some studies and prototypes included fabric testing.
